In 2021, our law firm decided to take part for the first time in the “Law Firm of the Year” competition, organised by the weekly TREND in cooperation with the EPRAVO.SK portal.
The aim of this competition is to give those interested in legal services an orientation in the market of legal service providers with regard to their activities in key areas of law. We succeeded in this prestigious competition at our very first attempt, as in 2021 we received the “recommended law firm” award in the field of tax law.
In the Slovak legal system, tax law is part of financial law and is one of the most demanding areas of law of all. Under the leadership of Mgr. Martin Fajnor, our firm focuses in this field mainly on tax audits and the related tax proceedings, as well as on preparing administrative actions and representing clients in court proceedings reviewing the lawfulness of decisions of the tax administrator and the Financial Directorate of the Slovak Republic. Our clients enjoy a high success rate in these proceedings, and the award is therefore a source of satisfaction for us.
In the following year of the competition, we not only defended the award but even improved our ranking. In 2022, we became a “highly recommended law firm” in the field of tax law. We then retained this award for tax law in 2023 as well.
In 2023, however, we also succeeded in the field of “development projects and real estate”, in which we received the “recommended law firm” award against strong competition.
We greatly value receiving an award in this particular category, as this area of law is our strong domain and a stable team of attorneys and lawyers has been dedicated to it in our firm since its very beginning. Our firm has already provided legal support for the implementation of several dozen smaller and larger development projects, in particular residential and multifunctional buildings and complexes, and we therefore have exceptionally rich experience in this area of law.
Thanks to the awards received, we have joined the ranks of significant law firms in the Slovak Republic. You can therefore also find a presentation of our firm in the regular Yearbook of Significant Law Firms, which is published as a supplement to the quarterly EPRAVO.CZ Magazine.
However, the awards we have received are not only a recognition of our work and expertise. They also represent a commitment for us to continue working with maximum dedication in order to create top-quality legal support for our clients.
